Namhla Saba

Namhla is a qualified Chartered Accountant, currently the Managing Director of Leverage Squared Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a social impact management consultancy that helps companies unlock value beyond the bottom line by improving their social performance management systems.

Namhla has extensive finance and socio-economic development experience across the private and public sectors. She gained substantial Tax and Audit expertise across Financial Services, Private Equity, Petroleum, Mining and Energy sectors where she honed her quantitative and business skills. She also gained substantial social development skills managing the strategy, design, implementation, monitoring and development of multiple CSI programmes at an Investment Bank, with one of the programs winning a Mail and Guardian Invest in the Future Award. She also consulted on several Institutional and Corporate Banking deals as well as Property transactions pertaining to socio-economic development. In her tenure, she also spearheaded the conceptualisation and execution of an innovative first of its kind Private Public Partnership between the Private Sector and Funza Lushaka. In her last role in Corporate, she managed the business development for a Wealth and Investment Philanthropy Division where she was tasked with spearheading strategy, capacity-building, training and market positioning of the service to high net worth individuals. She also spearheaded the divisions Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) incorporation into its investment processes.

The experience she acquired over the years in the finance and socio-economic development sectors solidifies her belief that the African transformation agenda lies in business, government, and society’s ability to partner and be socially relevant, inclusive, and commercially viable.

She has been invited as a MasterClass presenter on “Business in Society” at the Johannesburg Business School and has been on the panel and presenter at numerous Trialogue Conferences. She has extensive experience in corporate governance having served as a non-executive director and having chaired some of the sub-committees of a couple of NPO’s.
